Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee construction projects nationwide, with a strong emphasis on utility-scale solar, battery storage, and high voltage substations. The role is based on a jobsite in Yerington, NV and requires travel, with responsibilities from budgeting to safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Field construction management experience (8-10 years)
• Leadership ability
• Problem-solving ability and strong sense of urgency
• Organizational and communication skills
• Drafting and computer skills; basic contract law and project accounting knowledge
• Understanding of project management control systems (scheduling, cost control, procurement, estimating)

Responsibilities

• Oversee all Project Manager responsibilities
• Manage multiple or large, complex projects
• Estimate and establish budgets and contract price (GMP/Lump Sum)
• Negotiate subcontract and material purchases
• Set up and implement job procedures to ensure timely buyout, shop drawing approval and material delivery
• Keep project on schedule
• Maintain relationships with Owner, Architect and Subcontractors
• Develop safety plans with Superintendent and implement safety procedures
• Maintain timely reporting to management
• Manage, train and supervise project team
• Organize regular management/subcontractor meetings
• Review contract conditions for compliance
• Document significant project events (accidents, delays, change orders)
• Direct preconstruction services and activities
• Negotiate and issue subcontract bid packages
• Assist with business development and interviews
• Maintain quality control on projects
• Support estimating staff (bid item specialist)
• Mitigate claims and conflicts
• Complete all project close-out procedures
• Conduct warranty follow-ups (1-year)
• Complete project with full or enhanced fee
