Job summary

Shield AI is seeking a Lead Engineer, Software Test & Quality Assurance to lead a cross-functional team responsible for testing Hivemind Vision and Hivemind Solutions. This role drives test automation strategy, infrastructure, and release recommendations for complex software used in simulation and live flight environments.

You will work closely with systems engineering, perception, autonomy, integration, flight test, and Shield AI's international teams, while remaining hands-on in framework

• Experience leading software test teams in complex environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Software Test & Automation Engineers across Hivemind Vision and Hivemind Solutions.
• Set technical direction for test automation and test infrastructure.
• Own test evidence and release recommendations behind software releases.
• Oversee testing across Simulation, SIL, HIL, VIL, and live flight test.
• Stay hands-on in framework design, test architecture, and integration challenges.
• Develop people and capabilities of the team and coordinate with international engineering teams.
