Job summary

KARL STORZ North America is seeking a Software Engineer in Test to ensure quality and reliability of product software. This on-site role in Raleigh, NC, focuses on acceptance testing, automation, and developing solutions to support automated verification.

You will lead testing within Agile teams, extend automation frameworks, and contribute across DevOps pipelines. Strong C/C++, C#, Python, and RESTful API skills are essential.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years of software engineering or software testing experience.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and/or C#; Python and RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with software design docs, best practices, patterns, data structures.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support testing within Agile teams; define acceptance tests and automated scripts.
• Design and develop mocks, test harnesses, and integration tests for automation.
• Extend automation frameworks to enable new scripting and automate routine tasks.
• Review design specs for testability and perform automated and exploratory testing.
• Investigate defects; document findings and maintain test scripts for regression testing.
• Develop verification test plans and maintain related documentation.
