Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking an experienced Software Test Engineer to lead verification/validation for the Digital Energy software platform. The role focuses on test strategy, plan, execution, and communication across a large software platform within the Digital Power portfolio.

The ideal candidate will drive testing strategies, performance testing, and ensure high reliability and safety standards, while collaborating with developers and product managers in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on edge computing or related technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for edge software applications.
• Execute manual and automated tests to identify software defects and ensure product quality.
• Collaborate with software developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and design effective testing strategies.
• Perform regression testing to ensure existing functionality is not compromised by new changes.
• Analyze test results, identify root causes of defects, and work with development teams to resolve issues.
• Maintain and update test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on software quality and testability.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest testing tools, methodologies, and industry trends to continuously improve testing processes.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in software testing.
