Amazon S3 is seeking a Software Development Manager to lead the Core API development for scalable, durable storage services at cloud scale. You will mentor engineers, own end-to-end delivery, and partner with product and cross-functional teams to translate business goals into actionable roadmaps.

In AWS UC/S3, you'll drive design for secure, high-availability, low-latency APIs, shaping strategy and engineering practices while growing a diverse, inclusive team and ensuring operational excellence

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering team management
• 7+ years working directly within engineering teams
• 3+ years designing or architecting scalable software/systems
• 8+ years leading multi-tier web services development
• Experience partnering with product/program management teams

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers, fostering technical excellence and career development.
• Own end-to-end delivery of software projects from planning through execution and production readiness.
• Partner with product managers and cross-functional teams to translate business goals into actionable roadmaps.
• Drive engineering best practices in design, code quality, testing, and operations for scalable, reliable systems.
• Manage team performance through hiring, coaching, feedback, and recognition, building an inclusive team.
• Own production services health, on-call processes, incident response, and reliability improvements.
