Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering team management experience.
• 7+ years of engineering experience.
• 8+ years leading multi-tier web services development.
• 1+ years of technical leadership and project management for all aspects of the software development lifecycle.
• 1+ years of developing large-scale, multi-tiered distributed software systems using Java, C#, or C++.
• 1+ years of distributed programming experience.
• 5+ years of Software Engineer/Developer experience.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical vision and roadmap for the S3 Express NameSpace index layer, defining how the system evolves to meet latency and durability requirements over the next 1–2 years.
• Lead a team of software engineers through the full development lifecycle for distributed storage services on tens of thousands of hosts.
• Drive solutions to performance problems such as noisy-neighbor isolation and sub-millisecond retrieval, partnering with frontend and storage teams.
• Build and develop an inclusive team of engineers with coaching and career development planning.
• Establish operational metrics and audit mechanisms to monitor performance, customer experience, and reliability at scale.
