Job summary

KBR, Inc. is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to support the STARE program on-site at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL. You will oversee MBSE-driven software and modeling efforts, ensure VV&A compliance, and drive digital engineering transformations across contractor and government teams.

You will review contractor deliverables, lead end-to-end SW development lifecycle, and coordinate with Army stakeholders to meet schedule and data rights requirements. A SECRET clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science or applicable STEM field with 5+ years of experience.
• Experience managing system models using MBSE tools (e.g., Cameo, MagicDraw, Rhapsody).
• Experience leading or participating in a formal DoD VV&A process.
• Proven experience providing technical oversight of contractor software development on a DoD program.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of the government’s authoritative system model using MBSE principles and SysML.
• Champion transition from document-centric to data-centric processes and digital artifacts as the source of truth.
• Architect the digital engineering environment and ensure integration with contractor models.
