Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Lead Software Engineer within the Corporate Technology Finance and Risk Warehouse SRE Team. You will solve complex business problems through code and cloud infrastructure, configuring, maintaining, monitoring, and optimizing applications and their infrastructure to improve delivery and reliability.

You will guide peers in design, CI/CD deployment, and AI-assisted tooling adoption, ensuring secure coding, validation, and rapid incident response in a large financial

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Strong analysis, research, investigation, and evaluation skills, with a structured approach to problem solving.
• Proficient in at least one programming language such as Python, Java/Spring Boot, Scala, and/or .Net.
• Hands-on with infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform and AWS CDK.
• Experience developing and running data pipelines using PySpark and good debugging skills.
• Experience managing and developing/deploying on Cloud (private cloud or public cloud).
• Working knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and other container technologies.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools, including Dynatrace, Open Telemetry (OTEL), Prometheus, Datadog, and Grafana.

Responsibilities

• Guides and assists others in designing appropriate level designs and gaining consensus.
• Collaborates to design and implement CI/CD pipelines for deployment.
• Works to ensure availability, reliability, and scalability of applications.
• Implements infrastructure, configuration, and network as code for the teams’ scope.
• Resolves complex problems with stakeholders and technical experts.
• Monitors production alerts and provides L1/L2 support to minimize customer impact.
• Supports adoption of site reliability engineering best practices.
• Drives AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
• Promotes validation standards for AI outputs and secure coding practices.
• Uses SDLC tools to improve automation and value delivery.
