Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join the Corporate Technology Finance and Risk Warehouse SRE Team. You will solve complex business problems through code and cloud infrastructure, configuring, maintaining, and optimizing applications and their infrastructure.

You will guide peers, design deployment approaches, and drive availability, reliability, and security across the stack. The role includes on-call support and adopting AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts.
• 5+ years applied experience in software engineering.
• Proficient in one or more programming languages such as Python, Java/Spring Boot, Scala, and/or .Net.
• Hands-on with infrastructure as code using Terraform and AWS CDK.
• Experience with data pipelines, cloud environments, and container technologies.
• Knowledge of monitoring/observability tools and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience using AI-assisted software development tools for coding, review, testing and debugging.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Guide others in designing appropriate level designs and obtaining consensus.
• Collaborate to design and implement deployment approaches using CI/CD pipelines.
• Work on availability, reliability, scalability, and solutions for applications.
• Implement infrastructure as code and network configurations.
• Resolve complex problems with stakeholders and teams.
• Monitor production and respond to alerts to minimize customer impact.
• Provide on-call production support as part of team rotation.
• Adopt enterprise AI-assisted engineering practices and validate AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
