Job summary
Wabtec invites a Software Engineer to join the Trip Optimizer team in New York. You will develop and enhance software for an Energy Management system that optimizes train operations for fuel efficiency, collaborating across design, software, and validation engineers.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Proficient in software design and architecture approaches.
- Strong knowledge of software engineering principles.
- Minimum 7 years of C/C++ software development experience.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop high quality software aligned with system requirements.
- Collaborate with teams to meet product specifications.
- Perform root-cause analysis and fix defects.
- Create design, requirements, and architecture documents.
- Participate in architecture, design, and code reviews.
- Maintain the full software development lifecycle.
- Create and maintain automated unit tests.
- Investigate and remediate cybersecurity vulnerabilities.
