Job summary

Voodoo is seeking a Lead Software Engineer for the Playable Ads team within the Central Growth Team in Paris. You will lead initiatives, stay hands-on with production, and push innovations across playable ad formats while collaborating with Growth and creative strategists.

The role requires 4+ years in playable ad or game development, a maker mindset, and strong teamwork. English fluency is essential; French is a plus.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in playable ad or game development.
• Hands-on, maker mindset—comfortable producing work while coordinating others.
• Experience with playable ads development tools or Unity (Luna), Cocos Creator or similar.
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming and web game development.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development and asset generation tools.
• Solid understanding of mobile marketing performance metrics and creative testing.
• Proven ability to mentor and coach peers.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
• You have excellent teamwork and collaboration skills, fluent in English (French a plus).

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach a small team of playable ads developers embedded within franchises.
• Stay hands-on with playable ad production and contribute to high-quality creatives.
• Oversee workflows, tooling, and best practices for the playable team.
• Drive innovation in playable ad formats and new mechanics.
• Collaborate with Growth Manager and strategists to align on priorities.
• Benchmark competitors and analyze data to improve quality and effectiveness.
• Serve as a technical/strategic reference for development and marketing topics.
• Support rollout of playable ads across multiple game franchises.
• Help define and evolve the playable ads chapter vision and processes.
