E&M Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join our Colorado Springs team, supporting NORAD. You will lead software teams, drive full‑stack development, and implement containerization while upholding security standards.

The role requires DoD-level readiness, strong leadership, and hands-on technical capability, with opportunities to mentor others and shape project delivery in a mission-critical environment.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain a DoD clearance.
• AT Level II Certification (Security+ CE or equivalent).
• 12+ years general work experience.
• 10+ years directly related experience as a Software Developer.
• Experience leading software development teams.
• Experience mentoring junior software developers.
• Experience developing technical solutions to meet defined requirements.
• Containerization experience and ability to containerize applications.
• Experience working in an Agile development team with on-time delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead software engineering teams in design, development, and delivery of reliable mission software.
• Develop and integrate full-stack applications; familiarity with containerization tech.
• Maintain high standards of code quality, security, and testing across the lifecycle.
• Collaborate with product owners, scrum-masters, and stakeholders to translate needs into technical plans.
• Advocate for DevSecOps practices and robust CI/CD pipelines.
• Mentor and support junior developers to grow skills.
• Understand cybersecurity principles and compliance requirements for mission/enterprise systems.
• Balance hands-on development with strategic leadership responsibilities.
