Job summary

PNC Financial Services Group, Inc. is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to drive API development for credit decisioning. You will design and implement APIs, validate services, and ensure coding standards across teams.

You will collaborate with business, data and risk partners to design test methods, dashboards and reports that track strategy performance and lending risk. This role requires strong Java, Python or C#, SQL and cloud experience in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Requires 3+ years of relevant/ direct industry experience.
• Experience with Java, Python or C# in enterprise apps.
• Strong SQL and relational DB skills.
• Cloud environment familiarity and API integration experience.
• Familiarity with rules engines (e.g., Drools, Power Curve) and Kafka messaging.
• Experience in event-driven architecture and API/Messaging integrations.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of several APIs for credit decisioning and validation.
• Adhere to coding standards and develop decision service rules.
• Collaborate with architects to draft technical design documents.
• Work with business, data and model teams to design test designs and analytics.
• Analyze large datasets to improve risk-adjusted returns and growth.
• Develop segmentation and targeting for portfolio strategies using predictive models.
