PNC Financial Services Group, Inc. in Pittsburgh, PA; Dallas, TX; Birmingham, AL; or Cleveland, OH is seeking an Software Engineer Lead to design, develop, and deliver scalable enterprise applications using Angular, Java, Spring Boot, and microservices.

The role focuses on performance, reliability, and maintainability of both front-end and back-end solutions. You will mentor engineers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive modernization with CI/CD and agile practices while ensuring

Qualifications

3+ years of experience designing, developing, and delivering enterprise applications with Angular, Java, Spring Boot, and microservices.
Strong experience with RESTful API development, CI/CD, automated testing, and Agile methodologies.
Proven ability to mentor junior engineers and lead technical discussions.
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
University degree in Computer Science or related field, or an equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience.

Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable enterprise applications.
Develop and support RESTful APIs and distributed services, applying best practices for application design and integration.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to software engineers through code reviews, design discussions, troubleshooting support, and knowledge sharing.
Collaborate with product owners, business stakeholders, QA teams, and fellow engineers to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions and delivery plans.
Drive adoption of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and Agile software development practices to improve code quality, team productivity, and release efficiency.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance while resolving complex production issues across front-end, back-end, and microservices environments.
Establish and enforce engineering standards, coding best practices, and quality guidelines while leading modernization efforts and continuous improvement initiatives.
