ProAg in Maple Grove, MN, is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to bridge business strategy and technology execution. You will partner with product, business, and engineering teams to deliver scalable solutions while guiding the software lifecycle with secure, reliable outcomes.

The role requires strategic problem solving and strong leadership across teams. The position follows a 4:1 hybrid schedule with in-office Monday-Thursday and remote Friday, and offers a competitive salary and comprehensive

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• Proven experience in software engineering and leading complex initiatives.
• Strong understanding of C#, .NET, React and modern app architecture.
• Ability to provide technical leadership and guide teams.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Product Owners, Business Analysts, stakeholders, and engineers to understand business outcomes.
• Translate business needs into technical options, tradeoffs, and risks.
• Provide level-of-effort estimates and document risks to reduce uncertainty.
• Design Scrum team solutions aligned with ProAg's technology direction.
• Lead technical discussions and seek broader alignment when needed.
• Communicate complex concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Collaborate with DevOps to release and operate products across environments.
• Use standards and monitoring to improve quality and maintainability.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and adopt AI capabilities.
