Job summary

Bonterra is seeking a Lead Software Engineer in the US to guide a mission-driven engineering team. You will design and build microservices using Go, create robust RESTful APIs, and develop scalable Angular UI components.

You’ll work in a distributed architecture powered by Kubernetes/Helm, with modern CI/CD practices and AI-assisted tooling to accelerate delivery. You will mentor junior and mid-level engineers, collaborate with product and QA, and own architectural decisions across multiple

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full-stack development in production systems.
• Strong Go backend experience; building RESTful microservices.
• Proficient in Angular (15+) and TypeScript.
• Solid microservices architecture knowledge and distributed systems patterns.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD in cloud environments.
• Familiar with OpenAPI/Swagger specifications.
• Experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms.
• Passion for applying AI tools to improve development.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain microservices and backend APIs.
• Develop RESTful APIs with OpenAPI specifications.
• Build scalable Angular UI and shared components.
• Operate in a Kubernetes/Helm orchestrated environment.
• Implement tests with Ginkgo, Jest, and Cypress.
• Own architectural decisions across multiple services.
