Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Lead Software Engineer in Plano, TX to join the CTO - Identity and Access Management. You will contribute to agile teams building secure, scalable technology products and lead critical technology solutions across multiple domains in support of the firm's objectives.

The role emphasizes enterprise AI-assisted engineering, secure coding, and collaboration with vendors and internal teams to drive architecture decisions and delivery outcomes.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts with 5+ years of applied experience.
• Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Advanced in one or more programming language(s).
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations and secure handling of inputs/outputs.

Responsibilities

• Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or breakdown technical problems
• Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
• Drives team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes while establishing validation standards and promoting reuse of patterns
• Applies knowledge of SDLC tools and AI-assisted development to improve automation
• Identifies opportunities to automate remediation of recurring issues to improve stability of software applications and systems
• Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams to probe architectural designs and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture
