Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Lead Software Engineer for the Connected Commerce technology offers and shopping team in Jersey City. You will be a seasoned agile team member designing and delivering trusted, scalable software across the SDLC with focus on AI-assisted engineering practices and secure coding.

You will lead implementation, testing, and production releases while collaborating with stakeholders and ensuring operational stability and performance across enterprise applications.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with 5+ years of applied experience.
• Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Experience in developing web-based applications using J2EE technology.
• Experience using Spring framework for building enterprise Java applications.
• Experience in developing Rest APIs.
• Experience using Oracle and Cassandra databases.
• Experience using BlazeMeter, Splunk, Dynatrace.
• Experience in manual testing using Postman/SoapUI.
• Experience using Swagger to create API specifications.
• Experience using Agile Scrum methodology for team tracking.
• Demonstrated experience leading AI-assisted development tools with secure outputs.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for design and development of enterprise software applications.
• Works with stakeholders to review business requirements, architecture and design.
• Involves in coding, pair programming and code reviews.
• Writes unit tests and software automation.
• Drives team adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices to improve quality, speed and outcomes.
• Applies knowledge of SDLC tools to improve automation value.
• Supports Integration, UAT, and Performance testing.
• Releases software on UAT and production; participates in production support and monitoring.
