S&P Dow Jones Indices is seeking a highly experienced Lead Software Engineer to develop and maintain our Fixed Income platforms, building scalable, auditable solutions for our index offerings. You will evaluate emerging technologies, lead system design, and deliver high-quality financial applications.

The role combines hands‑on development, team mentorship, and cross‑functional collaboration to drive innovation and excellence within an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software development experience with Enterprise Java Development: Java 17/21 or equivalent JVM languages (such as Kotlin, Scala).
• Enterprise Framework Experience: Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Security) or comparable frameworks.
• Distributed Systems Architecture: Microservices, RESTful API development, and message brokers like Kafka/RabbitMQ.
• AI Engineering: hands-on experience building, deploying, and integrating AI/ML models into enterprise platforms.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Extensive experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra).
• Fixed income system design and analytics.
• Agile methodologies and product development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-performance calculation engines for fixed income indices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement scalable solutions for critical operations.
• Drive architectural discussions and code reviews for reliability and maintainability.
• Lead Agile delivery to modernize the fixed income platform.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote technical growth.
• Architect and oversee analytics services ensuring data lineage and auditability.
