Job summary

S&P Dow Jones Indices in New York seeks a Lead Software Engineer to design and maintain high‑performance fixed income calculation engines and analytics services. You will guide architecture, ensure reliability, and drive AI‑driven data processing in a collaborative, Agile environment.

You will mentor engineers, lead greenfield efforts, and work across cross‑functional teams to deliver scalable solutions that meet strict data lineage and auditability requirements.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software development experience with Enterprise Java (Java 17/21) and JVM languages.
• Experience with Spring, Quarkus, Micronaut, or Jakarta EE.
• Designs for microservices, RESTful APIs, and messaging (Kafka/RabbitMQ/Pulsar/SQS).
• Hands-on AI/ML model integration and AI analytics.
• Cloud proficiency with AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Strong SQL/NoSQL experience (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra).
• Proven fixed income system design and analytics experience.
• Knowledge of Agile product development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-performance fixed income engines and services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, reliable solutions.
• Lead architecture discussions and promote best practices for reliability and maintainability.
• Work in Agile cycles to deliver platform enhancements.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive technical growth.
• Modernize systems and adopt new technologies for performance and scalability.
• Oversee data lineage, reconciliation, and auditability across models and data inputs/outputs.
• Lead AI-driven enhancements for financial data processing and analytics.
