Job summary

S&P Dow Jones Indices (S&P DJI) seeks a visionary Global Head of Core Technology and Platforms to lead a global engineering organization responsible for core technology, data platforms, and mission-critical systems. You will shape strategy, drive performance, and ensure security, resilience, and developer productivity across the firm’s index services.

This senior, hands-on role combines architectural depth with operational rigor, guiding multi‑cloud infrastructure, IaC, CI/CD, and modern tooling

Qualifications

• 15+ years of technology leadership in software/platform engineering.
• 7+ years leading global engineering organizations in executive roles.
• Experience with mission-critical, regulated environments (finance preferred).

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the roadmap for core technology and data platforms.
• Lead architecture of high-throughput, low-latency systems powering index services.
• Drive enterprise initiatives: AI, cloud-native, IaC, CI/CD, observability, developer tooling.
• Establish engineering standards and governance for security, reliability, and productivity.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop global engineering talent; act as senior technical advisor.
