Job summary

Eliassen Group in Rockville, MD, seeks an Engineering Team Lead to build and operate an enterprise-scale IAM platform in a regulated financial environment. The role balances architecture ownership with hands-on coding across Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and AWS, while guiding the engineering team.

You will design the technical architecture, drive CI/CD, testing, and security practices, mentor engineers, and coordinate with stakeholders.

• Strong expertise in IAM, Java/Spring Boot, and cloud architectures.
• Experience with Angular and micro-frontend architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering team delivering an enterprise IAM platform.
• Design and own the technical architecture across services, front-end, and cloud.
• Contribute hands-on to Java and Spring Boot microservices and Angular micro-frontends.
• Implement AWS-native infrastructure, automation, and observability.
• Drive workflow and BPM automation aligned to security and compliance.
• Establish testing strategies, coverage, and reporting practices.
• Plan sprints, manage backlogs, and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Mentor engineers and uphold code quality, reliability, and security.
