Job summary

Markit North America, Inc. is seeking a Lead, Software Engineering to steer the development, testing and delivery of complex projects in Raleigh. The role requires hands-on leadership to align technical work with business needs and deadlines.

You will design data pipelines, create architectural blueprints, and build proprietary algorithms to process financial data from multiple sources. Telecommuting is permitted within commuting distance of the Raleigh office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE or related IT field with 5 years of experience.
• 5 years of experience must include processing financial data for corporate actions.
• Build data pipelines and architectural blueprints for data processing.
• Experience with Snowflake, SQL Server, Python, AWS and Terraform.
• Lead a team of at least four software engineers and manage risk.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, testing and delivery of projects to meet business requirements.
• Prepare database architectural blueprints and present findings to leadership.
• Create and maintain proprietary algorithms to ingest and harmonize data from multiple sources.
• Design, build and maintain efficient data pipelines across servers and services.
• Lead peer reviews and develop mitigation actions for project risk.
• Mentor and guide a team of at least four software engineers.
• Define coding standards and best practices for the team.
