Job summary

Allstate Insurance Company is seeking a Managing Engineer (Software Engineer Associate Manager) to lead a team of software engineers in building enterprise applications with C#, ASP.NET, and SQL Server. You will mentor staff, participate in design decisions, contribute code, and drive delivery while collaborating with Product Managers and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience developing enterprise applications with ASP.NET/C#.
• 1+ year or more in leading software engineers or a team.
• Experience designing, developing, and supporting production software.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Strong SQL Server and T-SQL development experience.
• Experience with modern front-end tech (Vue/React/Angular) and responsive design.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, mentor, and develop a team of software engineers.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise apps using C#, ASP.NET, and SQL Server.
• Contribute production-ready code and participate in feature development.
• Review code and provide technical guidance to the team.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and backlog refinement.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions with stakeholders.
• Lead architectural discussions and ensure secure, scalable solutions.
