Job summary

Deloitte GPS is seeking a senior software engineer to enhance and support critical government and public-sector systems. You will work on code reviews, testing, deployment prep, and documentation to ensure stable, scalable services.

You will partner with product, infrastructure, data, and security teams to clarify requirements, manage dependencies, and validate solutions against acceptance criteria, while identifying risks and ensuring timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 6+ years of equivalent experience.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or in the future.
• Active Secret security clearance required.
• 6+ years of experience with PHP.
• 4+ years of experience with Linux-Red Hat, Apache Tomcat, and MySQL.

Responsibilities

• Implement approved enhancements and defect fixes; participate in code review, unit and integration testing, release preparation, and incident troubleshooting; document technical designs, changes, and support procedures.
• Collaborate with the Custom Development Lead, Product Management, infrastructure, data, and cybersecurity teams to clarify requirements, manage dependencies, and validate solutions against acceptance criteria.
• Identify application performance, security, reliability, and deployment risks promptly.
• Provide dependable development support that maintains stable mission services.
