Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Lead Software Engineer within the Asset and Wealth Management Technology & Operations team in Plano, TX.

You will lead a team delivering secure, scalable technology products, driving AI-assisted engineering practices and strong coding standards. You will design and implement high-quality production code, mentor engineers, and push for operational stability and secure, automated tooling across the SDLC.

Qualifications

Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
Demonstrated experience leading effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools with the ability to set team expectations for validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations.

Responsibilities

Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting.
Drives team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes.
Applies knowledge of SDLC tools and AI-assisted development to improve automation value.
Develops secure high-quality production code and reviews code written by others.
Identifies opportunities to automate remediation of recurring issues to improve stability.
Leads evaluation sessions with vendors and teams to assess designs and architectures.
Leads communities of practice to promote new technologies across Software Engineering.
