Job summary

Luna Joy, a leading provider of mental health services in the United States, is seeking a Lead Senior Engineer to guide a growing technology team. You will design, develop, and optimize the platform to be scalable, secure, and reliable, collaborating with Product, Design, and Operations to align technical plans with our mission.

You will mentor engineers, stay current with new technologies, and help shape our software development lifecycle, while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and delivering

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 7+ years of software engineering experience with 3+ years in leadership.
• Strong programming in Python, JavaScript, Node.js, Ruby, etc.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Designing scalable architectures for high-traffic web apps.
• Knowledge of microservices, RESTful APIs, and relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL).
• Familiar with front-end frameworks (React/Angular/Vue).
• DevOps experience: CI/CD, Git, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Excellent problem-solving and the ability to work remotely.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering team in developing and maintaining scalable, secure, and efficient systems.
• Architect and design software solutions that meet business needs with high quality and performance.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Operations to define technical requirements and plan timelines.
• Review and optimize existing codebases for performance, scalability, and security.
• Manage the full software development life cycle from concept to deployment.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and apply them to the stack.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to ensure high availability.
• Participate in high-level technology strategy and process decisions.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and industry best practices.
