Job summary

Luna Joy, a leading provider of mental health services in the United States, is seeking a Lead Senior Engineer to guide a growing technology team. You will design, develop, and optimize the platform to be scalable, secure, and reliable, collaborating with Product, Design, and Operations to align technical plans with our mission.

You will mentor engineers, stay current with new technologies, and help shape our software development lifecycle, while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and delivering

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master’s preferred.
  • 7+ years of software engineering experience with 3+ years in leadership.
  • Strong programming in Python, JavaScript, Node.js, Ruby, etc.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
  • Designing scalable architectures for high-traffic web apps.
  • Knowledge of microservices, RESTful APIs, and relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL).
  • Familiar with front-end frameworks (React/Angular/Vue).
  • DevOps experience: CI/CD, Git, Docker, Kubernetes.
  • Excellent problem-solving and the ability to work remotely.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the engineering team in developing and maintaining scalable, secure, and efficient systems.

Job Overview

We are looking for a Lead Senior Engineer to join our growing technology team. As the Lead Senior Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and optimizing Luna Joy's technology infrastructure. You will lead a team of engineers to ensure that our systems are scalable, secure, and efficient. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams such as Product, Design, and Operations to ensure that our platform supports our mission to deliver high-quality mental health care. This role requires a strong technical background, leadership skills, and a passion for innovation.

As part of the Luna Joy team, you will be instrumental in directly contributing to the support of the mental health journey of one million women with purpose-driven innovation, unwavering compassion, and transformative care. You will lead with a drive for continuous improvement, focusing on building systems that enhance our ability to serve women’s mental health needs. Additionally, you will create a positive work environment by encouraging collaboration, mentoring junior engineers, and embodying Luna Joy’s core values in your daily work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the engineering team in developing and maintaining scalable, secure, and efficient systems to support Luna Joy’s growing platform.
  • Architect and design software solutions that meet business needs, ensuring the highest quality standards in code and system architecture.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or senior engineering role.
  • Strong expertise in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Node.js, Ruby, etc.).
  • Proven experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
  • Experience in designing and implementing scalable architecture for high-traffic web applications.
