Job summary

Luna Health seeks a Director of Software to build and scale a high-performing software organization in San Diego. You will mentor engineers, set strategic roadmaps, and work with executives to shape the product and technology direction for a safety-critical medical device platform.

You will lead architecture decisions, drive AI-enabled workflows, and collaborate with hardware, data science, and regulatory teams to deliver scalable, compliant software across mobile apps and cloud backends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 10–15+ years in software development with 5+ years leading technical teams.
• Experience in regulated environments and safety-critical software is a strong plus.
