Job summary

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts.
• 5+ years of applied software development experience.
• Advanced knowledge in Java and React.
• Frontend UI development experience.
• Experience with RESTful API design, microservices, event-driven architecture, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Experience with messaging platforms and stream data processing – Kafka.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools and secure coding practices.
• Strong understanding of secure, resilient software engineering.

Responsibilities

• Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine approaches to build solutions.
• Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others.
• Drives team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes, with consistent validation standards and promotion of reusable patterns.
• Applies knowledge of SDLC tooling to improve automation and value realization.
• Identifies opportunities to automate remediation of recurring issues to improve operational stability.
• Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to probe architectural designs and applicability for use within existing systems.
