Job summary

Jobtailor in Holmdel Township, NJ seeks a senior Java/J2EE engineer to lead an agile delivery team within an ART. You will design and build integration solutions, develop APIs and events, and collaborate with Solution Architects.

You will mentor engineers, triage issues, and drive modern patterns in REST, microservices, messaging (ActiveMQ/IBM MQ), Docker, and AWS. This is a full-time on-site role in New Jersey.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 15+ years of experience as a Java/J2EE software engineer.
• Strong understanding of Agile and SAFe methodologies.
• Expertise in Java Spring Boot, GraphQL, and Python.
• Experience delivering Agentic AI applications.
• Deep experience with RESTful API design, microservices architecture, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Experience integrating with messaging platforms such as ActiveMQ and IBM MQ.
• Familiarity with Docker and AWS Cloud services.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Apache Camel, TIBCO BusinessWorks, MuleSoft, or similar EAI frameworks.
• Proficiency with version control and CI/CD automation tools.
• Experience implementing API security and access control.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools.
