Job summary

Smith Johnson Group in Utah seeks a Software Engineer focused on data and integration services to help modernize cloud enablement and delivery. You will contribute to AI exploration to streamline processes and deliver robust solutions.

You will work on a cross-functional SAFe Agile team, develop APIs, and participate in design, development, and automated testing using Apigee Hybrid, Python, PySpark, Kafka, Docker/Kubernetes. On-call duties may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience with Agile SDLC practices.
• Experience with API security policies (OAuth, JWT, JWE, HMAC).
• CI/CD and DevOps experience.
• Experience with Kafka, Python, REST APIs and JSON.

Responsibilities

• Develop Integration APIs.

The individual in this position plays a key role in helping us continue modernizing and maturing our data and integration services with a focus on cloud enablement and continuous delivery. This role will also play a part in exploring artificial intelligence (AI) solutions to streamline our processes and improve our solutions. The Software Engineer will:

• Develop Integration APIs
• Participate in the design, development, and automated testing of data and integration services using technologies like Apigee Hybrid, Python, PySpark, Kafka, and containers (Docker/Kubernetes)
• Explore ways to effectively and appropriately incorporate artificial intelligence to improve our processes and solutions
• Provide support for the solutions we deliver, including root cause analysis and periodic on-call duties
• Work on a cross-functional SAFe Agile team
• Other duties as assigned
