Job summary

Jobtailor in Plano, TX is seeking an experienced backend engineer to design, build, and scale enterprise APIs, microservices, and cloud-native apps. You will own end-to-end development across the full lifecycle and lead modernization with API-first and containerized architectures.

The role requires strong Java/Spring Boot, cloud platforms, CI/CD, Docker/Kubernetes, and exposure to AI/GenAI, RAG pipelines, and governance of autonomous workflows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building enterprise applications with strong backend expertise (Java, Spring Boot, APIs, microservices).
• Experience with cloud platforms, CI/CD, containers (Docker/Kubernetes), and messaging systems (Kafka).
• Strong foundation in distributed systems, system design, and testing practices.
• Exposure to AI/ML or GenAI (LLMs, RAG, automation, or AI-assisted development).
• Experience working in Agile environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deliver APIs, microservices, and cloud-native applications
