Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior software engineer to lead the design and development of Java/Spring solutions for complex banking and payments needs. You will guide architecture decisions, review code, and drive best practices across the team.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of directly relevant experience, strong DevOps chops with Jenkins, and a focus on performance and security in scalable systems.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on design and development with Java and Spring; banking/payments background preferred.
• Solid understanding of software architecture and microservices.
• Experience with OpenShift or Kubernetes.
• Experience designing and developing solutions using Kafka, MQ and REST APIs.
• Proficiency in database design and optimization (MongoDB and Oracle).
• Experience in DevOps CI/CD and Jenkins build/deploys.
• JavaScript and Angular experience is a plus.
• Experience with Eclipse, IntelliJ, Gradle, Maven.
• Experience with ElasticSearch and Redis is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of performance tuning, application security, and scalability best practices.
• Experience with Agile software development methodology.
• 3+ years of relevant industry experience; degree or equivalent in lieu of a degree may be considered.
