Job summary

Stelvio Inc. in Austin, TX, is seeking Senior and Lead Software Engineers to build complex B2B platforms that support critical business operations. About 80% of the work is greenfield with room to influence architecture and own what you ship, with 3–4 days onsite per week.

Senior & Lead Software Engineers | Austin, TX

The interesting engineering work starts when services depend on each other, customers need different workflows, and the system has to keep working after launch.

I'm partnering directly with the CTO of an Austin AI company hiring two hands-on engineers to build complex B2B platforms supporting business-critical operations in regulated industries.

Around 80% of the work is greenfield, with scope to influence architecture, build new services, and own what you ship.

THE WORK

• Build backend services and interconnected workflows using distributed computing and microservices architecture.
• Deliver customer-specific capabilities within a scalable platform.
• Own design, implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing production reliability.
• Investigate difficult failures, understand their impact across services, and resolve the underlying cause.

TWO LEVELS OF OWNERSHIP

Senior Software Engineer: Independently own a substantial project, service, or workstream and carry it through to dependable production operation.

Lead Software Engineer: A high-level IC owning complete architecture and end-to-end delivery, including upstream/downstream dependencies. You'll anticipate failure points, make complex technical decisions, and help raise engineering standards.

WHAT MATTERS

AWS or GCP is preferred; Azure backgrounds will be considered. There is no fixed programming-language requirement, with time provided to learn the stack.

Practical GenAI, LLM integration, or AI-agent experience is highly advantageous.
