Job summary

PTR Global is seeking an experienced Lead Software Engineer for a 12-month contract in Atlanta. The role focuses on building scalable backend services with Python and FastAPI, while shaping data pipelines on Azure and Databricks.

You will work with Snowflake for data storage and enable REST APIs for system integration. Ideal candidates bring strong software engineering fundamentals, hands-on cloud expertise in Azure, and experience with ETL/ELT processes, AI-enabled features, and data platform

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend/full-stack software engineering with production systems.
• Proficient in Python and FastAPI development.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud and data services.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF).
• Experience with Azure Databricks for data engineering.
• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT and data integration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python and FastAPI.

• Knowledge or practical experience with Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies.
• Experience developing and integrating REST APIs.
• Ability to design, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud‑based applications and data solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with frontend development technologies.
