TriSearch seeks a Software Technical Lead to anchor a multi‑tenant SaaS transformation. You will own end‑to‑end technical delivery across monolith extraction to microservices, guiding design reviews, deployments, and production support.
You will collaborate with frontend and backend teams, including offshore resources, and drive architectures for event‑driven systems and AI agent integration. This is a senior IC role focused on code, architecture, and production excellence.
Software Technical Lead
Employment Type: Full-Time
Location: Denver, CO – Hybrid (2 days/week in office) or Remote within the U.S. for candidates outside the Denver market
Salary Range: $210,000–$235,000
Why This Role Exists
Our client operates a large-scale, multi-tenant SaaS platform used daily by businesses and consumers across the United States. The organization is in the midst of a significant platform transformation—breaking a legacy monolith into domain-owned microservices, building a modern event-driven architecture on AWS, and introducing production AI agents capable of taking meaningful action within business workflows.
The Software Technical Lead will serve as the engineering anchor for one or more product or platform areas. This is a senior individual contributor position for someone who can translate architectural decisions into production software, lead design and code reviews, establish engineering standards, and take ownership of systems once they reach production.
This is not a people-management position. You will provide hands‑on technical leadership to a small team of engineers, including both U.S.-based and offshore resources, while remaining deeply involved in architecture, coding, reviews, deployment, and production support.
Scope & Scale
You will work across:
What You’ll Own
End-to-End Technical Ownership Take technical responsibility for assigned product and platform areas, including both existing production systems and newly developed services.
Service Design & Delivery Lead initiatives from initial design documentation through production rollout and cutover. You’ll help determine service boundaries, identify the appropriate seams for extracting functionality from the monolith, and define how application data transitions into the new architecture.
Full-Stack Application Delivery Lead the delivery of complete vertical slices, including independently deployable React/Next.js frontend modules, API/BFF contracts, domain‑owned microservices, event‑driven architecture, independent deployment pipelines, and application performance and monitoring.
AI Agent Integration Partner with the AI platform team when production AI agents interact with your domain. You’ll own the supporting tool contracts, including schemas, SLAs, idempotency, evaluation fixtures, and guardrails.
Engineering Velocity & Quality Establish development practices that improve team productivity while maintaining a high engineering quality bar.
Technical Standards & Mentorship Define patterns for cross‑team contracts, code reviews, design reviews, incident ownership, and on‑call responsibilities while mentoring engineers across the team.
What Success Looks Like
First 90 Days
You will learn the platform, understand the existing monolith and modernization roadmap, and take ownership of your assigned technical areas and their production support responsibilities.
You’ll begin leading design and code reviews, establish engineering expectations with the team, ship a meaningful production change in your primary technology stack, and develop the design plan for an upcoming domain extraction.
First Year
Success will include leading at least one significant domain extraction from the monolith through dual‑write, traffic splitting, validation, and clean production cutover.
You’ll help establish independently deployable frontend modules, ensure performance standards are met, implement reliable tool contracts for AI agents interacting with your domain, and create a cohesive delivery cadence across onshore and offshore engineering resources.
Hands‑On Expectations
This is a senior individual contributor role, not a management role.
The majority of your time will be spent working directly with technology—writing production code, creating design documentation, reviewing pull requests, leading technical reviews, and owning production cutovers.
You will also be responsible for cross‑team technical contracts, production incidents, on‑call ownership, and mentoring engineers.
