Job summary

ADP is seeking a Software Architect to define next-generation products within the ADP Innovation Labs. You will investigate, design, and implement technical solutions, collaborating with lean/agile teams and hands-on coding in NodeJS, DSQL, and GraphQL.

The role emphasizes building domain models, API schemas, and documentation, with a 50/50 architecture/code split and a focus on secure, scalable systems within a dynamic, inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in CS or engineering or related discipline; equivalent experience accepted.
• TDD experience a must; we aim to automate all quality gates.
• Strong problem solving, analytical skills and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with Cloud technology: AWS, Jenkins and Docker.
• Experience as an API or backend developer.
• Experience in SOX compliant systems, e-commerce, or cybersecurity is a big plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead discussions between domain experts to extract information for accurate models.
• Translate complex domains into scalable, high-performance, secure, maintainable designs.
• Hands-on maintenance and contribution to the codebase (50-50 architecture/code split).
• Create and maintain Domain Models as part of Architecture/Development team.
• Create and maintain API and Solution documentation; conduct code reviews.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Domain Experts to align technical solutions with business objectives.
