Job summary

DBSync Inc. is seeking an Engineering Manager/Architect in California to lead an engineering department, partnering with the CEO/CTO. You will drive technical strategy, oversee the full SDLC, and guide multi-tenant, scalable software initiatives across e-commerce, SaaS, and CRM domains.

You will mentor staff, manage hiring and performance, and ensure secure, high-quality deliverables while coordinating with internal teams and external vendors and clients.

Qualifications

• Hands-on with AWS, frontend HTML, Bootstrap, Java, design patterns, UML, XML, web services, and databases such as MySQL, SQL Server with complex queries.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and AWS.
• Prior role as an Architect is a plus.
• Experience with running large-scale multi-tenant applications.
• Experience in team handling/project management.
• Background in product development is a plus.
• Willing to work on multiple platforms/domains such as e-commerce, SaaS, and CRM.
• Experience with Salesforce and services is a strong plus.
• Must have hands-on experience in Java, frontend technologies like Bootstrap, jQuery, AWS, modular software development, multi-tenant architecture, and highly scalable systems.
• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in engineering.
• Education: BSc/BA or MS/MBA; related field preferred.
• Hands-on full-stack architecture experience including Docker, Kubernetes, cluster management, orchestration, microservices, and DevOps.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of the full software development lifecycle for a group of developers and testers in an agile environment.
• Lead staff to implement clients efficiently and on time.
• Ensure total quality of technical deliverables, secure and defect-free.
• Mentor technical staff for continuous improvement.
• Define and action career paths and training for resources.
• Handle hiring, training, performance appraisals, corrective action, and pay reviews of technical personnel.
• Develop and establish department standards and procedures.
• Recommend efficient ways to implement new upgraded products.
• Evaluate and report progress and results.
