Becton, Dickinson and Company in San Diego is seeking a Sr Staff Software Engineer to lead the architectural vision and long-term evolution of software within the Medication Supply Chain Management domain. This role drives scalable, secure, and compliant system architectures across the enterprise.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• At least 10 years of growing responsibility in R&D roles.
• Experience with Go, C#, React, Java or Jenkins.
• Experience operating in agile development environments.
• Experience with healthcare environments.
• Experience with cloud-based technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Experience designing scalable cloud architectures with IaC (AWS CDK, CloudFormation, Terraform).
• Experience in Web Development.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% (domestic and international).

Responsabilidades

• Own and evolve the architecture roadmap for a large-scale platform over multiple years.
• Provide technical direction and architectural governance across multiple delivery teams.
• Lead design reviews and serve as an escalation point for complex technical decisions.
• Balance availability, scalability, security, and compliance in architectural decisions.
• Perform software design and implementation, following coding guidelines for performance and reliability.
• Conduct software evaluation and testing of own and third-party software.
• Provide technical documentation for design, implementation and testing.
• Document and repair errors related to software.
• Collaborate with cross-functional project teams to complete Product Engineering projects with minimal guidance.
• Mentor senior engineers and raise the technical bar across the organization.
• Work with source control tools (e.g., GitHub) and project tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).
