Applied Information Sciences, Inc. (AIS) is hiring a Lead SOC/NOC Engineer to provide technical leadership for a 24/7 managed operations center overseeing large-scale Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.

You will mentor engineers, own monitoring design, and drive automation across security and infrastructure. The role requires 7+ years in security operations and strong incident-response skills, with on-call responsibilities and a focus on operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in security ops, network and/or systems engineering with Azure and M365.
• Experience leading or mentoring SOC/NOC engineers.
• Hands-on SIEM configuration and operations.
• Manage Azure subscriptions and resources across compute, storage, networking, and identity.
• Lead incident response for fast-moving threats.
• Strong client-facing communication and consulting skills.
• Willingness for on-call and off-hours maintenance.
• CompTIA Security+ certification.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for 24/7 managed SOC/NOC operations.
• Escalation point for complex security and infrastructure issues.
• Design and maintain SIEM, monitoring, and alerting (Sentinel, Defender, Azure Monitor).
• Develop dashboards and runbooks; drive automation.
• Lead incident response and post-incident reviews.
• Coordinate audits, accreditation, and ATO support.
• Collaborate with vendors and clients to improve security posture.
• Oversee shift coverage and on-call rotation.
