Applied Information Sciences, Inc. (AIS) is seeking a Lead SOC/NOC Engineer to provide technical leadership for a 24/7 managed operations center protecting Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.

You will mentor engineers, own monitoring and incident response, and partner with clients on security posture and resilience. The role requires shifting off-hours coverage, strong security operations expertise, and experience with SIEM and cloud-native tooling.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in security operations, network and/or systems engineering with Azure/M365.
• Experience leading or mentoring engineers in SOC/NOC or converged centers.
• Deep hands-on SIEM experience and diverse SOC/NOC tools.
• Strong Azure subscriptions management across compute, storage, networking, identity.
• Proven incident response leadership and remediation for threats.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior escalation point for complex security issues across Azure and M365.
• Mentor and develop SOC/NOC engineers and support ongoing training.
• Own design and maintenance of SIEM, monitoring, and alerting setups (Sentinel/Defender/Azure).
• Develop dashboards and runbooks; drive automation for operational efficiency.
• Lead high-severity incident response and post-incident reviews.
• Support audit, accreditation, and ATO activities with stakeholders.
• Plan shift coverage and participate in 24x7 on-call rotations.
