Job summary

AIS (Applied Information Sciences) is seeking a SOC Engineer Tier 2 for a night shift (12:00am-8:00am) to secure large Azure and M365 environments, build monitoring dashboards, and escalate complex issues. You will join a mission-driven security team, supporting clients with state-of-the-art cloud security operations and a strong emphasis on continuous improvement.

The role requires 6+ years of security engineering experience, plus hands-on SOC tooling expertise, and a TS/SCI background is

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in security engineering to operate M365 and Azure platforms.
• Security+ certification or equivalent.
• Experience in Azure and M365 environments.
• Good experience in SOC engineering/administration tools.
• Handles daily alerts, incidents; monitors, tracks, analyzes and records.
• CySA+ certification within 6 months of joining.

Responsibilities

• Review environment scoping information to understand business, applications, and technical solutions.
• Contribute to the security roadmap and SOC tasking.
• Map IT security to SOC responsibilities and reporting.
• Educate SOC on preventative maintenance and roadmap capabilities.
• Participate in audits to close coverage gaps.
• Create reporting templates with cadences and feedback loops.
