Job summary

Applied Information Sciences (AIS) in Springfield, VA seeks a SOC Engineer Tier 2 for the night shift (12:00am-8:00am). You will secure large-scale Azure and M365 environments, develop security alerts, monitoring dashboards, and drive incident resolution.

You will serve as escalation point, collaborate with development teams, and help mature security operations. Applicants should have 6+ years in security engineering, Security+ and CySA+ timelines, and TS/SCI with CI Polygraph.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in security engineering to operate M365 and Azure platforms.
• Security+ certification.
• Experience in Azure and M365 environments.
• CySA+ required within 6 months of joining.

Responsibilities

• Review environment scoping to understand business and technical solutions.
• Specialize in SIEM configuration and maintenance.
• Build security architecture and systems; lead SOC efforts.
• Collaborate with development/IT teams to resolve vulnerabilities quickly.
• Create reporting templates and feedback loops for improvement.
