Job summary

Vail Resorts in Indiana is hiring Snowmakers for the Winter Seasonal 2026/2027. Starting wage ranges from $23.00 to $30.61 per hour with full-time and part-time hours available.

The role focuses on operating snowmaking equipment, maintaining facilities, and leading day-to-day operations to ensure a premier mountain experience. Qualified applicants will have a valid driver's license, English fluency, and the ability to work outdoors in alpine conditions.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Previous experience operating/maintaining heavy machinery, snowmaking experience preferred.
• Must be able to communicate fluently in English.
• Ability to work outdoors in alpine environments.
• Flexible schedule including nights, holidays, and weekends.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate all transportation vehicles as per standard operating procedures.
• Understand and teach proper snowmaking quality checks.
• Lead with day-to-day operations.
• Mentor and guide snowmaker teammates.
• Operate snowmaking pumps, compressors, and snowmaking guns.
• Maintain snowmaking equipment and buildings as directed.
• Complete assigned tasks while unsupervised.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
