Job summary

Vail Resorts is seeking a Winter Seasonal Snowmaker for the 2026/2027 season to help prepare the slopes for guests. You will operate snowmaking equipment and vehicles, perform routine maintenance, and work outdoors in alpine conditions to ensure optimal skiing surfaces.

Starting wage ranges from $20.00/hr to $23.00/hr with full-time and part-time hours available. Housing is not provided. A valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and fluency in English are required.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with no restrictions.
• Must be able to communicate fluently in English.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Basic hand tool knowledge.
• Able to work extended hours outdoors in an alpine environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate all snowmaking equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Operate all vehicles, including snowmobiles, in a safe and efficient manner.
• Perform basic snowmaking equipment maintenance.
• Work on the production of snow to create the best skiing surface for our guests.
• Other duties as assigned.
