Job summary

SoundVision, LLC and Sound Decisions is seeking a Lead Audio Video Smart Home Technician to install and service premium multi-room systems, deliver exceptional client experiences, and lead field teams on projects and service calls.

You will configure Control4/Lutron Homeworks, manage networks, and coordinate with clients to design and implement secure smart home solutions, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in AV installation or smart home tech.
• Clean driving record
• Must pass a multi-state background check by the NC Alarm Licensing Board
• Availability to work on a rotating on-call service schedule
• Proficient with desktop and mobile computing tools
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with clients
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and follow best practices in system design and installation
• Proven problem-solving ability with decisive troubleshooting
• Comfortable with hand and power tools and familiar with industry equipment
• Highly organized with ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities
• Process-driven with commitment to high service standards

Responsibilities

• Lead the installation and setup of multi-room audio/video systems and smart home solutions, ensuring optimal performance and client satisfaction.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting expertise for various systems and resolve issues efficiently.
• Install and configure basic networking and data systems.
• Program and configure single-room systems, including advanced setups.
• Possess a solid understanding of multi-room systems and security system programming and design.
• Demonstrate proficiency in managing and maintaining vehicle care and equipment.
• Support the team in maintaining the highest standards of service, quality, and safety.
