Job summary
Advanced Home is seeking a Lead Smart Home & AV Installation Technician to oversee and execute residential technology installations in Minnesota. You will lead projects, configure theaters, audio, lighting, networking, and security systems, and mentor junior technicians.
Ideal candidates have extensive experience in residential AV, strong wiring and networking knowledge, and the ability to manage client-facing installation activities on luxury homes.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in residential AV or related fields.
- Strong understanding of low voltage wiring and installation best practices.
- Experience with home networking including routers, switches, and wireless access points.
- Familiarity with systems such as Lutron, Sonos, Alarm.com, Control4, Josh AI, URC, or similar platforms.
- Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and construction documents.
Responsibilities
- Lead residential smart home and AV installations from rough-in through final commissioning.
- Install and configure home theaters, distributed audio, cameras, and security systems.
- Supervise and mentor installation technicians on project sites.
- Coordinate with homeowners, builders, electricians, and project managers.
