Job summary

IEM in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Skidding/E-House Engineering Manager to lead the structural engineering discipline for skid-mounted packages and E-Houses. This role acts as the technical authority for IBC compliance and licensing, guiding design, review, and stamping of critical structures.

You will manage a team of engineers, collaborate with project management and manufacturing, and ensure designs are safe, code-compliant, and delivered on schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering.
• 15+ years of structural engineering experience in skidding/E-House projects.
• Active PE license with ability to stamp drawings and lead licensing efforts.

Responsibilities

• Lead the structural engineering discipline for skids and E-Houses and ensure IBC compliance.
• Review, approve, and stamp structural calculations, drawings, and specifications.
• Manage licensing, certifications, and inspections across states.
• Lead and mentor a team of structural engineers to deliver on schedule.
• Collaborate with project management, manufacturing, and QA to ensure manufacturability and compliance.
• Direct lift calculations, rigging plans, and site loading assessments (seismic/wind).
