Job summary

Okemo Mountain Resort in Ludlow, VT is hiring for winter seasonal roles, including Ski & Ride School Leads. You will oversee daily instruction, develop curriculum, schedule classes, and provide guidance to staff to ensure outstanding guest experiences.

Starting pay ranges from $23.00/hr to $53.50/hr, with full-time and part-time hours. Housing is available; PSIA/AASI certification is required; fluency in English is expected; applications accepted until December 15th or until filled.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• PSIA/AASI certification or equivalent required.
• 1-3 years ski/snowboard instructor experience; 1 year supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily instruction at Ski & Ride School including curriculum development, scheduling, and class assignments.
• Assist with administrative duties: hiring, scheduling, training, payroll, inventory, and guest feedback reporting.
• Monitor instructor performance and provide feedback, recognition, or escalation as needed.
• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies; adhere to safety programs.

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee daily instruction at Ski and Ride School including curriculum development, scheduling, and assigning classes providing support with instruction as needed
• Assist with administrative duties including hiring, scheduling, training, payroll, managing equipment inventory and reporting on guest feedback
• Monitor and document instructor performance and behavior to provide meaningful feedback and direction, including recognition, correction action, or escalation if necessary
• Maintain knowledge of and adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies
• Adhere to all safety related programs including policy training and incident reporting
• Coordinate with other management, departments, and third-party organizations as neede
• Participate in leadership forums providing feedback and input on school operations, training, and continuous improvement opportunities
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required, Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred
• Current PSIA/AASI or equivalent certification required
• 1-3 years ski/snowboard instructor experience and 1 year of supervisory experience required
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, holidays, and weekends
• Able to meet the physical demands of ski and ride training and drills
• Must be able to communicate fluently in English

The expected pay range is$23.00/hr - $53.50/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
